.–it is unrestrained, free market capitalism that has, in fact, created every depression since the Great Depression which began with the stock market crash of 1929.

I wish them great and rapid success!

The Chicago traders, confronted by the protesters’ “We are the 99 percent” message, crafted their own not-so-subtle reply, hanging signs in eighth-floor windows that said, “We are the 1%“:

Guillotines are the only appropriate response to a provocation such as this.

Have I mentioned lately just how much I hate these people?

Danger in The Speed Trap

20/09/2011 § Leave a comment

Speeding motorists have long lived in fear of the state trooper armed with a radar gun. Now it turns out that the troopers themselves may be at risk.

Across the U.S., dozens of cops who work with radar guns day in and day out have developed cancers of suspicious origin. Two California troopers who regularly rested the gun on their lap developed cancers on their legs. Another, who jammed the gun between his legs, got testicular cancer.

Karma is a bitch. Bet they’re not so smug now!

Dominate. Intimidate. Control.

Those three words effectively sum up the manner in which the government now relates to its citizens, making a travesty of every democratic ideal our representatives spout so glibly and reinforcing the specter of the police state. After all, no government that truly respects or values its citizens would subject them to such intrusive, dehumanizing, demoralizing, suspicionless searches. Yet by taking the TSA’s airport screenings nationwide with VIPR and inserting the type of abusive authoritarianism already present in airports into countless other sectors of American life, the government is expanding the physical and psychological scope of the police state apparatus.

USA Alert: Nebraska Nuclear Power Plants Missouri River Flood Conditions

17/06/2011 § Leave a comment

The Fort Calhoun nuclear power plant (REP reactor) in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, currently shut down for refueling, is surrounded by flood waters from the Missouri River, Tuesday, June 14, 2011. On Tuesday, the releases at Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota hit the maximum planned amount of 150,000 cubic feet of water per second, which are expected to raise the Missouri River 5 to 7 feet above flood stage in most of Nebraska and Iowa.

Due to a fire in an electrical switchgear room at FCS on the morning of June 7, the plant temporarily lost power to a pump that cools the spent-fuel pool.

Fukushima in Nebraska?

17/06/2011 § Leave a comment

A fire in an electrical switch room on Tuesday briefly knocked out cooling for a pool holding spent nuclear fuel at the Fort Calhoun nuclear plant outside Omaha, Neb., plant officials said.

The safety of deep pools used to store used radioactive fuel at nuclear plants has been an issue since the accident at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant in March. If the cooling water a pool is lost, the used nuclear fuel could catch fire and release radiation.

Would the government cover-up the dangers and keep the information suppressed as many stand-by waiting for their leaders and media to tell them what to do?

Of course they would. This is DUHmerica.
